Two things happened today:
1- My husband left the car key and house key in the car after coming back home from lunch and grocery shopping. The house key has always been attached to the car key and our spare keys were inside our house. We were panicked for a while but luckily we live in family dormitary facilitated by the university so the office has the master key with them. I wonder what would happen if they dont have the master keys.
2- Umar pushed our little Falah and Falah's head knocked at a chair for ??? time, I'm not sure. Falah cried loudly, not long though, and Umar got punishment from me, of course. My husband was praying while I was in the toilet and could hear the knock sound. Falah's head got bruised/swollen, quite big but it gone after I put our favorite cream. A few days ago I read a story about a 7 month old baby died because the baby's head knocked to something hard. Since then I became so worried everytime Falah fell down and his head knocked to something. I feel like going to the hospital and get his head scanned but Falah's seems ok, still playing and laughing as usual after the incident. I hope nothing bad happen to my kids, amin. From now onward I have to keep eyes on my kids more constantly...
I'm so sorry I really have limited time to reply all the comments and visit your blog so here I'd like to thank all of you for your visit and lovely comments on my previous entry. I really miss you all so I will try to visit your blogs tonight :)
After coming back from the ski resort I had to have some rest and finish my house chores - house cleaning and of course the never ending laundry job. I just spent some time in front of the computer to upload some photos to flickr. My husband had about one week holidays, we wanted to go somewhere else but we already running out of budget, so on the weekdays we just went out for photo walk together around our hostel and Tsukuba University area. The weather during the holidays was quite nice except there were very strong wind for two days on Wednesday and Thursday. Falah got fever due to the coldness, his temperature increased to 39.9 C, but now he's ok.
Last Saturday my senior and her husband came to our place and we brought them to Mount Tsukuba. We went up there by cable car. The weather was really nice that we could see Mount Fuji very very clearly, which is 100 miles away . We were so happy to see the Mt Fuji. We already went there about 3 years ago but it was cloudy so Mt Fuji was not seen at all.
On Sunday we went again to Kasumigaura Sogo Park (a place which has lots of seagulls) with Prof Sohaimi and his kids. Took some pics of the seagulls again.. I
think enough for seagulls shots at this time :)
Here are some pics of our trip to Inawashiro Ski Resort. We went there on last weekend 2 days 1 night with 4 other families. The snow was great, we also experienced snow storm. Although I lived in this kind of place 4 years ago but I still felt like first time experiencing the snow..hehe
My husband rented a snow board and had fun with it with the others. I just stayed in the hall with the other mothers and went outside just to take some photos.
My son, Umar, really hate the snow. He just spent his time in the hall, together with another girl toddler who also screamed everytime his mother asked her to play outside the hall with the other kids. Umar just couldnt bear the coldness, he screamed and cried everytime he fell on the snow..I think now I feel glad that we are living in a place which is not snowy :) Before this I had always condemned Tsukuba for not having snow at all, if only it has, it melts straight away..hehe
Feel free to browse other photos of the trip here .
Salam Maal Hijrah to my muslim friends and Happy New Year to all. May this new year bring happiness and barakah to us, amin :)
Last weekend we had 3 continuous Eid & Birthday parties~On Friday night at Dr Sohaimi's house, On Saturday at Prof Wan's house and on Sunday at Nor's house in Tokyo. Coincidally last Friday (12 Dec) was Umar's 3rd birthday, so I made a birthday cake (carrot cheese cake) and brought to our Eid party at Prof Wan's house on Saturday. About 20 people joined the party, 5 families and the others are Tsukuba University students. Most of our photos didnt turn out so good, we still need to learn more about shooting indoor. Recently I love to put film effects on my photos, I dont know why but I just love classic look photos.
This is the carrot cheese cake I made for Umar's birthday:
The two babies who joined the party ;) Hidayah 5 months and Falah 7 months :)
A friend of mine, Nor, whom I knew her since 2000, invited me to her son's birthday party on last Sunday. The distance from my house to her house is about 70 km, so it should take about 1.5 hours to arrive there but since we dont have a navigator in our car, we got lost a few times and the drive took about 3.5 hours. Huh..Hubby really wants a navigator but since we are planning to buy a new car with a navigator so hubby preferred not to buy the navigator now.
Nor requested me to make chocolate cake for the party, she wanted to pay but my husband said just give the cake as a gift to her son. The cake didnt turn out nicely, the base didnt stick together so you just imagine how the cake turned out when I took it out from the cake pan..it looked like the moon's surface..hehe..I should have taken the pic..but I covered the ugliness by decorating it with icing cream, strawberries and cooking choc so this was how the cake turned out finally..I really not good at using the deco pen, I hate my writing on that cake but overall the cake was not too bad I think ;)
Thanks to all who invited us! Really enjoyed the food!
Last but not least, these are photos of my sons..just for fun..hehe:) Will take some time to visit my neighbors' blogs now :)
I still feel tired of the 3 days trip. Went to Sakura Yama at Gunma where we can see Cherry blossom during winter. They place is about 4 hours drive from our home. Went there convoy with another 2 families. Actually we planned to visit this place only but last minute decided to stay a night at a hotel and went to Safari Park on the next day which is not far from that Sakura Yama. We reached home about 9 pm Sunday. The bad news is I left my CF card at home so no great photos of the trips. I almost cried when I found that I left it. I even asked my husband to stop by at a electronic shop to buy a CF card, but I wasn't serious actually, just joking with him but to my surprise he didn't mind to buy if I really want it. But I know its just a waste because I already have a 10 GB CF card. I dont think we are going to that place again since its very far from our place. What to do, let the bygone be bygone..*sigh*. But I think even if I brought my CF card I couldnt take pics because had to take take of my kids since the place is quite dangerous. It was mountaineous and had dangerous cliffs. Just took a few pics from our handphone camera and we bought an instant camera too. Will upload the pics later.
We reached home at about 9 pm on Sunday and the next early morning we were off again to Tokyo for Aidiladha feast at a friend's house. reached home at about 10 pm yesterday. I think I need to rest at least one day. Will visit neighbors and reply your comments tonight. I really appreciate your comments and visit here..Thanks a lot friends.. *hugs*
There's a car shop selling vintage cars like these. my husband loves these kind of cars so he stopped and asked me to take some photos of them :)
This weekend the whether is very nice but unfortunately my husband is not at home for 2 days. He's coming back tonight. Luckily tomorrow is a holiday (it's Autumn Day tomorrow) so we are planning for a picnic at Doho Park, yey!
Lots more photos to share here, just don't have much time to edit and upload here. The size are too big and takes time to upload..huh.
The scenery here is getting nicer, would be very nice within another 1-2 weeks. We are planning to have a picnic at Doho Park next week. Hooray!
Hehe..we was planning to buy this seat for Falah but after tested it at our friend's house we cancelled our plan..already tooo tight for him!! *sigh*
Wow, it has been about a week I haven't updated this blog..sorry friends, I really had a hectic days since last two weeks.
On 11th, 12th Oct my husband's University held the Gakuensai, the Annual University Festival. It is usually held on
October. On that day the clubs or classes representatives can sell whatever they want to sell, so we as the representative from Malaysia decided to open a stall and sell Nasi Lemak. At first I did not agree to sell Nasi Lemak because I afraid the Japanese cannot eat since it has hot sauce. But at last we decided to proceed with the plan. Me and Kak Rini were given the task to cook the main rice and hot sauce. The Nasi Lemak was unexpectedly had very good demand. We sold about 150 packed in two days and profitted about 40,000 Yen /USD 400/RM 1200. Wow! I am not sure what the students are going to do with the profit. Travel somewhere, maybe? I hope so..Last Thursday I was invited by Kak Rini to spend that day at her house. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday we had no electricity and water at our building because they were doing maintenance. So again on Friday we went to Kak Rini's house. Thanks so much, Kak Rini :)
Last Saturday and Sunday we went to a friend's (Jannah) house at Kanagawa (In Yokohama City). It's about 2 hours from our place. We spent one night there and the next day we went to KodomonoKuni together to have some fun with the kids, especially Umar. It's just 10 minutes walk from Jannah's house. Oh yes, 'Kodomo' means 'Child', 'Kuni' means 'Country' so I'm sure you can imagine what kind of place that is. It is a paradise for Umar..hehe..
I will post about our trip to Kodomonokuni later.
We send Umar to a Kinder (it's like a child care, not the real kinder) nearby our house about twice or three time a
week. Each time we only send him for about 3 hours because the fee is quite expensive for us. We pay for about 400 yen per hour. Here special price will be given if one of the parents is studying and the other must be employed. But since I am not employed we cannot get the discounted price. In Japan they encourage the small kids to be grown up at home by their parents. I agree, but we just send Umar for a few hours a week to get him prepared to the real kinder, expose him to Japanese Language and to let him play and mix with other kids.
I am not really sure but I think the kinder is managed by a couple of husband and wife in late 60 and the principal is the wife's mother, whom I think already about 80 years old, but she is still in good health.
Last Saturday the Kinder held a Sports Day. We woke up early at about 7 am. I prepared some food- rice ball and fried
noodle. Since Umar only goes the kinder a few hours a week he was quite blurred. He participated in 2 events, short distance race and roll a ball with daddy. The funny thing was during the race when everybody was running he just walked normally..blurred as if nothing happened around him..hehehe..Although did not win any events Umar also received the "Yoku Gambarimashita" medal..It means "well done or you have strived hard" something like that. It was a new experience for Umar and we enjoyed the day very much :))
